June 10, 2017 – United Pet Group Voluntary Recalls Multiple Brands of Rawhide Chew Products for Dogs Due to Possible Chemical Contamination. These rawhide dog chew products were distributed online and to retail stores in the US. The recall was initiated after United Pet Group found out that some of the rawhide chew manufacturing facilities in Mexico, Colombia and one supplier from Brazil were using the Quaternary ammonium compound mixture to aid in the process of the manufacture of the rawhide chews.
