Fromm Family Foods of Mequon, Wisconsin is voluntarily recalling three of its canned dog foods due to high levels of Vitamin D. Through their own analysis, they discovered that affected canned food did not have the recommended levels of Vitamin D. Vitamin D is essential in regulating the balance of calcium and phosphorous in dog’s body. But if Vitamin D is ingested in higher levels, serious poisoning can occur.
