Radagast Pet Food, Inc. is Voluntarily Recalling Four Lots Of Frozen Rad Cat Raw Diet® due to their potential to be contaminated with Salmonella and Listeria Monocytogenes.
Salmonella and Listeria monocytogenes can affect animals eating the contaminated products and humans are also at risk after handling the products, especially if you don’t wash your hands thoroughly with soap afterwards.

Why recalled? Due to Possible Salmonella and Listeria Monocytogenes Health Risk.
Notes:
- It is a voluntary recall of Four Lots Of Frozen Rad Cat Raw Diet®; 62384, 62361, 62416, and 62372.
- The products were sold in 8oz., 16oz., and 24oz. tubs, and free 1oz sample cups.
- The recalled products were distributed in western Canada and all US States except in HI and MS.
- A third party lab contracted by FDA found 2 lots of Grass-Fed Beef and 1 lot of Free-range Chicken tested positive for Listeria monocytogenes.
- 1 lot of Free-range Turkey also tested positive for Salmonella and Listeria monocytogenes and the company is recalling 3 products produced in these four lots as a precautionary measure.
What to do?
- The company does not want you to return these recalled products to the retailer.
- You are suggested to dispose the recalled products in a secure garbage trash so no other animals can get to it.
- For refund claims, fill out all sections of the Consumer Claims Form which can be found on the company website www.RadFood.com and return it to the retailer where you purchased the product.
- Consumers may call Radagast Pet Food, Inc. at 503-736-4649 for assistance in filling out the Claim Form.

About Listeria monocytogenes:
- Listeria monocytogenes is an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.
- Although healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea, Listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.
- Healthy cats and dogs rarely become sick from Listeria. If animals get ill with Listeria they will display symptoms similar to the ones listed above for humans.
- People who have concerns about whether their pet has Listeria should contact their veterinarian.
About Salmonella Bacteria:
- Salmonella can affect animals eating the products.
- There is risk to humans from handling contaminated pet products, especially if they have not thoroughly washed their hands after having contact with the products or any surfaces exposed to these products.
- Healthy people infected with Salmonella should monitor themselves for some or all of the following symptoms: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or bloody diarrhea, abdominal cramping and fever.
- Rarely, Salmonella can result in more serious ailments, including arterial infections, endocarditis, arthritis, muscle pain, eye irritation, and urinary tract symptoms.
- Consumers exhibiting these signs after having contact with this product should contact their healthcare providers immediately.
- Pets with Salmonella infections may be lethargic and have diarrhea or bloody diarrhea, fever, and vomiting.
- Some pets will have only decreased appetite, fever and abdominal pain.
- Infected but otherwise healthy pets can be carriers and infect other animals or humans.
- If your pet has consumed the recalled product and has these symptoms, please contact your veterinarian immediately.
